HN2100 - Collective Agreement Administration

This course will examine in depth the issues involved in the interpretation, application, and administration of a collective agreement.  The student will explore the legal requirements and issues in interpreting and administering collective agreements, the collective bargaining rights of the employer and union, collective agreements clauses and terms, the negotiating of a collective agreement, and the administration of a collective agreement. The impact of a collective agreement on human resource management will be examined throughout the course. Students will have the opportunity to examine and interpret collective agreements and apply their knowledge through the use of case studies and application assignments.
